Exchstore respects intellectual property rights and expects all users to do the same. This Copyright Policy outlines what constitutes copyright infringement on our platform and how we handle related complaints and violations.
1. What Is Copyright Infringement?
Copyright infringement occurs when someone uses, reproduces, or distributes copyrighted material without the permission of the copyright holder. On our platform, this may include:
- Uploading product photos taken from manufacturer websites, e-commerce stores, or other sellers without authorization
- Using brand logos, trademarks, or registered images in your listing
- Copying descriptions, text, or content written by other users or businesses
- Listing counterfeit products using the brand owner’s images or trademarks
2. Your Responsibility as a Seller
By submitting a listing, you represent and warrant that:
- All images and text in your listing are your own original content OR you have obtained the necessary rights or permissions to use them
- Your listing does not infringe on any third-party copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights
- You will not use stock photos, internet images, or other users’ photos without authorization
📌 Note: Always take your own photos of items you are selling. Using your own images builds buyer trust and protects you from copyright claims.
3. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe your copyrighted work has been posted on Exchstore without your permission, please submit a copyright infringement complaint to us at:
- Email: copyright@exchstore.com
Your complaint must include:
- Your full name and contact information
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
- The URL(s) of the infringing listing(s) on Exchstore
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized
- A declaration that the information in your complaint is accurate
4. Our Response to Valid Complaints
Upon receiving a valid copyright complaint, we will:
- Review the complaint and the allegedly infringing listing
- Remove or disable access to the infringing content if the complaint is valid
- Notify the user who posted the content
- Allow the user to submit a counter-notice if they believe the complaint is in error
5. Repeat Infringers
Users who repeatedly infringe on others’ intellectual property rights will have their accounts suspended or permanently terminated.
In addition to copyright, we prohibit the unauthorized use of third-party trademarks. Listings that misuse brand names (e.g., listing a counterfeit item using an authentic brand’s name) will be removed and may be referred to the brand owner.
